John Dale Zimmerman

John Dale Zimmerman, 64, of Greencastle, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

John was born Jan. 28, 1952 in Greencastle to Otha and Ruth Zimmerman.

He was a graduate of Greencastle High School and served his country in the United States Army.

He had worked operating various machinery for the State of Indiana and the City of Greencastle.

Most recently he helped at Don's Garage in Greencastle.

He is survived by his siblings, Ron (Diane) Zimmerman, Pat Collins, Don (Nila) Zimmerman and Joyce McDonald; brother-in-law, Ed; sister-in-law, Ann, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, George Franklin Zimmerman, and Barbara Dudley.

John had requested that no services be held.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
