Camarin Carpenter Miles

Camarin Carpenter Miles of Roachdale passed away on the morning of Friday, Jan. 13, at St. Vincent Hospital, where she had been since Dec. 23 following a traffic accident near Crawfordsville. She was 39.

Cami had previously been a teacher's aide at Roachdale Elementary.

She graduated from North Montgomery High School, having attended school at both North and Southmont.

She liked doing crafts.

Born May 5, 1977 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of James Allen Carpenter and Connie Sue Pickering Carpenter.

She married Rick Miles on Nov. 24, 2009. He survives.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Miles of Roachdale; dad Jim Carpenter of Crawfordsville; daughter Alyssa Miles; daughter Mackenzie Miles; son Jakob Spangler; daughter Jenna Spangler; sons Nikolas Miles and Aaron Miles; sisters Shelly Myers and Staci Krutzsch; brother Brad Carpenter, several nieces, nephews and friends who will all miss her.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Connie Carpenter, on June 7, 2015.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 300 S. Grant Ave., Crawfordsville.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.
