First Legislative Update session of year set for Saturday

District 24 State Sen. John Crane (R-Avon) will make his Legislative Update debut when the Putnam County Farm Bureau hosts its first Legislative Update session of 2017 on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Crane, who ousted incumbent Pete Miller of Hendricks County in the Republican primary last May, will join veteran local legislators District 44 State Rep. Jim Baird (R-Greencastle) and District 37 State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) for the 8 a.m. program in the board room of the Putnam County Farm Bureau office, 1001 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Subsequent Legislative Update sessions are scheduled for Feb. 18 and March 18, which are the third Saturdays of each month.

Putnam County leaders are urged to attend the informative sessions. The meeting is open to the general public.

Cinnamon rolls and coffee will be provided.
