HOLLANDSBURG -- A 34-year-old Montgomery County man was injured early Monday in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 36 near Hollandsburg in eastern Parke County.

Dustin Kremer, of Waveland, was reportedly eastbound on U.S. 36 near Walker Ramp Road when his vehicle left the roadway around 4:30 a.m., authorities said.

Parke County deputies, along with Parke County EMS and Bellmore first-responders were called to the one-vehicle accident in front of The Boat Place on U.S. 36.

The driver had been ejected and was found lying in the roadway, Parke County deputies said. Good samaritans had rendered aid prior to arrival of emergency medical technicians.

Evidence at the scene indicated the vehicle traveled down an embankment, then went up another embankment and began to overturn.

The vehicle struck several boats in the process and came to rest on the roadway.

Kremer was found conscious and alert and speaking to responders. He was transported to Regional Hospital at Terre Haute for further evaluation of undetermined injuries.
