County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 9:07 p.m. Channelle Marie Wallace, 33, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant for failure to appear.

• At 5:25 p.m. Anthony Curtis Bauers, 34, Brazil, was booked in on a local warrant and an out-of-county warrant.

• At 11:09 a.m. Matthew VanEvery, 39, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 5:32 a.m. Friday, Jay Snyder III, 23, Brazil, was arrested following an early morning accident on icy Manhattan Road.

Snyder was arrested and lodged in the Putnam County Jail by Sgt. Eric Vaughan on an outstanding Vigo County warrant for resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

No information was immediately available on the Friday morning accident.

• At 10:59 p.m. Thursday, Kent Jermaine Jackson, 41, Greencastle, was arrested on six charges by Sgt. Vaughan at a Sycamore Street apartment.

Jackson was taken into custody and lodged at the jail for battery, residential entry, invasion of privacy, residential entry, criminal mischief and intimidation.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded to one recent property-damage crash.

• At 3:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Lowell A. Hull, 50, Greencastle, southbound in the South Putnam High School parking lot in a 2013 Ford Explorer. Macy R. Sutkowski, 19, Plainfield, had been parked in the lot in a 2015 Honda Accord.

Special Deputy Josh Boller reported that as Sutkowski tried to pull out of her space, the two vehicles made front-end contact with one another.

Sutkowski said he could not see Hull because the vehicle next to her blocked her line of sight.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.
