DePauw women win 16th straight
It was a total team effort for 13th-ranked DePauw University on Saturday, as all 15 players who dressed scored in an 85-49 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Wooster in women’s college basketball action.
The Tigers improved to 19-1 overall and 11-0 in the NCAC with their 16th straight win, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 1-18 overall and 0-10 in conference play.
Taylor Howard was the lone double-figure scorer for the Tigers with 11, while Kylie Morris grabbed 10 rebounds. Taylor Howard, Maya Howard and Claire Ryan each had four assists as DePauw totaled 22 as a team.
DePauw hosts Hiram on Friday at 6 p.m.
Men
• Tigers fall in double OT — The DePauw men’s basketball team lost to Wooster on Saturday 111-104, suffering their fourth straight NCAC loss.
The Tigers could not rally behind Luke Lattner’s 43 points, which tied the fourth-highest single scoring game in school history.
Lattner made 10 field goals and was 21-of-26 from the free throw line, which was a record in makes and attempts.
DePauw now moves to 9-10 overall and 5-7 in the North Coast Athletic Conference for sixth place. Wooster improves to 13-6 and 10-2 in conference play.
The Tigers return to action on Friday when they travel to Allegheny.
