Neighboring music guild ready to kick off 3rd season

ROCKVILLE -- The Parke County Live Music Guild will kick off its third year of bringing professional, live music to the community.

The first show of the 2017 season will be on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. with the Jim Hurst Trio. Opening for the trio will be Jack Shannon and Solly Burton.

As the night’s featured artists, the trio plays a mix of jazz, folk and bluegrass, and their recent album was selected as the number-one pick of 2016 by David Morris of Bluegrass Today Magazine. Hurst has also been given the award Guitarist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

The Farm Hands Gospel Quartet will be performing at the guild’s second show of the season on Saturday, April 29, also at 7 p.m.

Shows and performances for the Parke County Live Music Guild are held at the Presbyterian Church in Rockville, located at 130 S. Market St. All tickets are $10.
