South Putnam (5-13) at Eminence (6-13)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

So far: The Eels were 5-6 during the 2016 portion of their schedule, but have only gone 1-7 since Christmas break. All of their wins have come over small private schools except North Central, which is the lowest rated team in the state in the Sagarin ratings. South Putnam had won two straight games before going 0-2 in the Putnam County Classic last week.

History: Eminence has won the last two meetings, including a 63-57 road victory last season.

Scouting report: Sophomore Allen Plunkett came alive in the county tournament, averaging 27.5 points per game in his team’s two defeats. The leading scorers for Eminence are senior Bo Meringher and sophomore Sean Michaelis.

North Putnam (8-12) at North Montgomery (7-12)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

So far: The Chargers were 6-6 at one point but have lost six of their last seven games. North Putnam started the season at 1-5 but has gone 5-4 over its last nine games.

History: North Montgomery has won the last two meetings between the teams, including a 49-36 win at Roachdale last year.

Scouting report: Junior Elliot Gross leads the Cougars in scoring, but seniors Preston Porter, Corbin Judy and Duke Duff have all been in double figures recently along with junior Treyton Smith.

Senior Caleb Randolph, a 6-0 guard, leads the Chargers in scoring with 19.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Junior Justin Clary is close behind at 16.3 points per game.
