Neese in running for national 3-point contest; online voting underway

Cloverdale senior Cooper Neese is one of 16 players nationally to be nominated for the American Family Insurance High School 3-Point Competition, which will take place in Phoenix next month.

Participants will be chosen by a four-week period of online fan voting, with the players advancing through a bracket based upon their number of votes.

The voting schedule is:

• Round of 16 (through Feb. 21)

• Quarterfinals (Feb. 22-Mar. 1)

• Semifinals (Mar. 2-9)

• Finals (Mar. 10-17)

Fans may vote once per day (per device) at highschoolslam.com.

Neese’s first-round “opponent” is Justin Cave, a 6-foot-2 guard from Islands High School in Georgia. The site includes stats and YouTube videos for each participants.
