Charles O. Gaston

Charles O. Gaston, 86, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.

Born Jan. 26, 1931 to the late Harris and Mildred (Henson) Gaston.

Charles was retired from Allison Gas Turbine after 36 years and was a lifelong farmer.

He was also member of the Greencastle Church of Christ.

Charles married Lois Coble on Oct. 15, 1954, and she survives.

He is also survived by his children, Diana Kelso King, Sara Hazlett and husband Jason, Joe Gaston and wife Janet, and Mark Gaston and wife Ann; grandchildren Jessi, Josh, Wesley, Shelby, Chelsea, Lincoln, Sadie, Macey and Aubrey; great-grandchildren Ezra, Alex, Lily, and Amelia; and sister Evelyn Lurcott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffrey Lee Gaston; sister Bernice Coe and brothers Jim Gaston and Melvin Gaston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 19 from 5-8 p.m.
