West Central Indiana Quail Forever banquet set Feb. 25 at fairgrounds

The annual West Central Indiana Quail Forever Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 in the Community Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door or at Humphrey’s Outdoor Power, 950 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. with dinner from 7-8:30 p.m.

Activities will also include auctions, conversation and camaraderie with like-minded individuals interested in preserving natural habitats for wildlife such as bees, butterflies, pollinators and native birds.

West Central Indiana Quail Forever Chapter 3184 is a conservation group dedicated to habitat restoration for the Bobwhite Quail and other wildlife; promoter of youth programs in Putnam County, and provider of a $1,000 scholarship to a Putnam County high school senior.

The chapter also plants native grasses and wildflowers on local public trails and private properties.
