ROACHDALE -- Hoosier Heartland State Bank feted the winners of its second annual Shared Values Awards during a recent dinner.

HHSB’s Shared Values event is designed to highlight local non-profits and help them gain exposure and much-needed funds. Approximately 200 nominations were received from the public, nominating 75 different non-profit organizations in Putnam and Montgomery counties.

After a vetting process, the Greencastle homeless shelter operation, Beyond Homeless, was named one of five finalists and was awarded a donation of $1,000.

“Our nomination process was a great way for the Putnam County community to honor the great work that Beyond Homeless does,” HHSB President Brad Monts said. “Beyond Homeless is made up of outstanding individuals that truly care for people in need.”

During the dinner nine employee-owners were also recognized for their outstanding commitment to HHSB’s mission, vision and values. Employees were given the honor of making a donation to the local charity of their choice. A total of 12 non-profit organizations were awarded a total of $30,000 during the event.

HHSB is a locally owned and operated bank located in Roachdale as well as Montgomery County.
