Tonight

Greencastle (7-12) at Southmont (9-9)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

So far: Greencastle had a two-game winning streak snapped last Friday with a loss to Cloverdale in the championship game of the Putnam County Classic. Southmont won seven of its first eight games before losing seven straight.

History: Greencastle won 69-52 at home last year.

Scouting report: Junior Colin York leads the Tiger Cubs with 18.6 points per game, followed by senior Nick Costin at 8.1. Sophomore Gavin Bollman hauls in 8.8 rebounds per game.

Junior Cam Chadd paces Southmont with 20.0 points per game, while senior Kaleb Swick scores 11.7 and grabs 10.1 rebounds per game.

South Putnam (5-14) at Owen Valley (6-14)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

So far: The Patriots have won two of their last three games after losing six of their prevoius seven. South Putnam has lost three straight games since winning its previous two.

History: Owen Valley has won the last 20 meetings, including a 60-50 win at South Putnam last year.

Scouting report: Senior Micihael Light leads OV with 15.6 points per game, while senior Jonah Arthur averages 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and senior Ryne Heckman adds 8.2 points per game.

Sophomore Allen Plunkett has averaged 29.0 points over the last three games, but only one other Eagle has scored in double figures in that span (sophomore guard Thomas Fanning with 10 points against Cloverdale).

North Putnam (9-12) at Covington (14-6)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

Special events: The game is winter homecoming and senior night.

So far: The Trojans started the season at 9-2, but have lost two of their last three games. The Cougars started the season 1-5 but have won three of their last four.

History: Covington has won the last three games between the teams, including a 47-46 game at Roachdale last year.

Scouting report: The Trojans have three double-figure scorers, led by junior Spencer Pettit at 14.8, followed by senior Luke Cooper at 14.6 and senior Ollie Pettit at 10.3.

Junior Elliot Gross leads the Cougars in scoring.

Saturday

Shakamak (13-7) at Cloverdale (17-6)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

Special events: The game is Cloverdale’s senior night.

So far: Shakamak started the season 7-1, but scored a season-low total of 22 points on Saturday in a loss to North Daviess. Cloverdale has won 12 of 13 games since Dec. 26.

History: Cloverdale has won the past three meetings between the teams, with a 62-60 win in last year’s First Financial Classic at Terre Haute and a 71-70 win at Jasonville on Jan. 26, 2016.

Scouting report: Shakamak senior guard Tanner Yeryar is tied for 29th in the state in scoring at 21.8 points per game. Cloverdale’s Cooper Neese ranks second in the state in scoring at 27.9 points per game and is the 10th-leading scorer in state history. With 12 points, he will pass James Blackmon Jr. to move into ninth. Clover junior Jalen Moore is the state’s sixth-leading scorer at 26.5 points per game.

Christel House Academy (4-14) at North Putnam

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff

So far: The Golden Eagles have won two of their last three games after breaking a five-game losing streak.

History: The teams have not previously met.

Scouting report: Tahj Bundy, a 5-9 senior, leads CHA in scoring with 17 points per game, while 6-5 junior Jeff Davis adds 16.1 points per game.

North Vermillion (4-17) at South Putnam

Game time: 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff.

So far: The Falcons snapped a five-game losing streak on Wednesday by winning 52-49 against Danville (Ill.) Schlarman.

History: North Vermillion has won two straight games in the series, including a 73-55 victory at Cayuga last year.

Scouting report: Senior Drew Buchhaas leads the Falcons in scoring at 10.8 points per game.
