PCPL has a computer technician available to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. Most problems can be repaired in 20 minutes but if your computer problem is severe enough, or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, it is recommended you take it to a professional.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

-- Learn to Play Mah Jongg, 1-3 p.m.

Join in a five-week course lead by local Mah Jongg expert Janice White. Classes are free to the public, but space is limited, so register by visiting PCPL21.org or by contacting Barb Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org or at 653-2755 x104.

Explore the basics of coding in a fun and interactive way. Open to all ages, but program is aimed at school-age children.

-- Learn to Knit, 6-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 1

-- Making and Baking with Bridgette, 4-5:30 p.m.

The first event in five-part series will be decorating ceramic mugs with paint and water to achieve a marbled design. Event is free of charge, but registration is highly encouraged. Patrons can sign up at the circulation desk or by calling 653-2755. This event will be ages 12 and up.

-- Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.

Need crochet help or crochet companionship? Jo MacPhail will take her Yarn Perch (on the balcony above the lobby) every Wednesday evening to help those in need.

-- Time Travelin’ Genealogy Guild, 6-7:30 p.m.

Putnam County genealogist Maggie Champion will be guest speaker. Maggie, a member of the Indiana Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Washburn Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution, will present information about the benefits of membership in the Indiana Genealogical Society and its upcoming conference.

-- Toddler Time, 10-10:30 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes and make a craft.

-- Preschool Storytime, 11-11:45 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, sing action songs, make a craft and have a small snack.

-- Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Open bridge game in the Kiwanis room. All who enjoy bridge are invited to attend, regardless of skill level. Group will be facilitated by Dorothy Brown. If you have questions, contact Barbara Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org.

-- Battle of the Books, 4-5 p.m.

Battle of the Books will run for five Thursdays. Each week, we’ll read a couple of the best books of the year and brainstorm what makes a great book. At the end, group will vote for the best book of the year. Grades K-6.

-- LibrarYoga, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

PCPL is offering free yoga sessions led by certified instructors every Thursday evening. Classes are for all levels of students. Participants should wear comfy, stretchy clothes. Yoga mats, blocks and straps are available for your use.

-- LGBTQ+ Book Club, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Join the PCPL LGBTQ+ Book Club to discuss “Middlesex” by Jeffrey Eugenides. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library or for free at the Reference Desk. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@PCPL21.org.

-- Introduction to Computers Part One, 11 a.m-1 p.m.

Part One will help you understand how the computer works and will give you the confidence to tackle future tasks on your own. Topics covered: History of Computers, How a Computer Works, Basic Computer Operation and Mouse Exercises.

-- Irish First Friday, 6:15-9 p.m.

Celebrate Irish First Friday at the library as it opens its doors for an adults-only, after hours event at 6:15 p.m. with a viewing of photographs of Ireland by Melanie Finney, a cash bar (beer and wine), and hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of the Greencastle Arts Council. From 6:30-7:30, Irish music will be performed by Greencastle’s own local talent. Dancers from Richens Timm Academy of Irish Dance will take the stage from 7:30-8 p.m., followed by more music and an Irish Open Mic from 8-9 p.m.
