Prepared for the heavy lifting that comes with a deep tournament run, the Cloverdale student section proudly wears its construction gear to the opening round of boys’ basketball sectional Tuesday at South Putnam. The Clover basketball team didn’t lay many bricks on the night, however, cruising past Southmont by a score of 100-62. Although homestanding Greencastle lost its sectional opener to Crawfordsville, the county is in for a full week of action, with Greencastle hosting a Class 3A sectional and South Putnam hosting a Class 2A sectional in which the Eagles, Cloverdale, North Putnam and Monrovia are all still alive.
