ISP Meth Suppression Team arrests four at Greencastle residence

Acting on tips received from the general public, as well as other investigative measures, the Putnamville District Methamphetamine Suppression Team Tuesday afternoon arrested four Greencastle suspects, ranging in age from 18 to 69.

Just before 2:30 p.m., members of the Methamphetamine Suppression Team arrived at a 9 E. Liberty St. residence in Greencastle, armed with a Putnam County search warrant.

During further investigation, Indiana State Police troopers found numerous items associated with the possible manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Included among those confiscated items were scales, baggies, smoking devices, syringes and glass plates. However, only trace amounts of the alleged drugs were located in Tuesday's raid.

Nonetheless, four individuals were incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail as a result of the incident.

Anthony Jones

Arrested were:

-- Michael A. Kessler, 69, of Greencastle, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

-- Beth A. Thompson, 32, of Greencastle, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

-- Anthony M. Jones, 21, of Greencastle, maintaining a common nuisance.

Logan Galloway

-- Logan M. Galloway, 18, Greencastle, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

The Putnamville District is comprised of Putnam, Parke, Clay, Vermillion, Vigo and Sullivan counties. To report potential drug activity in the district, persons can call the post at 653-4114.

  • Seems like they would make arrests where the drug and higher level offenders are actually present. These guys will walk while the dealers continue to poison our communities.
