Lewis Manion, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

Born Jan. 12, 1941 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Emmett and Mary E. (Perry) Manion.

He was a 1959 graduate of Patricksburg High School.

Lewis was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy, and was a member of the American Legion.

He had worked as a diesel mechanic for the Walmart Truck Center for seven years and previously 20 years with Schwerman Trucking. He had also worked at Wells Cargo and AC Transit.

Lewis is survived by his wife, Marsha (Leslie) Manion; sons Steven (Layne) Manion-Dodge of California, Timothy (Crystal) Manion of Greencastle, Tony (Michele) Emery of Florida, and Duane (Stephanie) Emery of Fishers; daughters Debbie (Curt) Albrecht and Kerri (John) Hodgson, both of California; brothers Jerry, Garry, David and Roscoe Manion; sisters Norma Miles, Wanda Blubaugh and Retha McIntosh; 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm. Monday, March 13 at the funeral home.
