Monday, March 13

-- Imagination Portal Unplugged, 9 a.m. to noon.

Enjoy the Imagination Portal without monitors, video games or music in the background.

-- Community Help Desk, 2-4 p.m.

PCPL has a computer technician available to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. Most problems can be repaired in 20 minutes but if your problem is severe enough, or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, it is recommend you take it to a professional.

-- PCPL Book Group, 7-8 p.m.

Join the group to discuss “A Land More Kind Than Home” by Wiley Cash. This book group has been meeting for 18 years and has lively conversation and discussion on great novels. Books are available for checkout at the library or for purchase at the Reference Desk. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@PCPL21.org.

Tuesday, March 14

-- Music Makers, 11 a.m.-noon

Every month on the second Tuesday to listen to stories, sing, dance and explore with rhythm instruments. For ages three and up. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate.

-- Learn to play Mah Jongg, 1-3 p.m.

A five-week course led by local Mah Jongg expert, Janice White. Classes are free to the public, but space is limited, so register by visiting PCPL21.org or by contacting Barb Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org or at 653-2755 x104.

-- Hour of Code, 4-5 p.m.

Explore the basics of coding in a fun and interactive way. Hour of Code is for all ages, but this program is aimed at school-age children.

-- Learn to Knit, 6-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 15

-- Brick Club, 4-5 p.m,

Let your creative side go wild with Lego challenges. Each month will be a different challenge, from storybook characters to video game characters, youth ages 4-12 are encouraged to participate. Questions? Contact Krista Mullinnix (653-2755 ext. 121) or by email (kmullinnix@pcpl21.org).

-- Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.

Need crochet help or crochet companionship? Jo MacPhail will take her Yarn Perch (on the balcony above the lobby) every to help those in need.

-- Travel Talks: Journey to the Thin Places of Ireland, 6-7 p.m.

Library Travel Talks series continues with a Journey to the Thin Places of Ireland by Melanie Finney. Photo narrative examines a variety of thin places Melanie discovered in Ireland, where she traveled alone for six months following the death of her husband.

Thursday, March 16

-- Toddler Time, 10-10:30 a.m.

Songs, stories and nursery rhymes and make a craft.

-- Preschool Storytime, 11-11:45 a.m.

Theme-based stories, action songs, crafts and a small snack.

-- Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Open bridge game in the Kiwanis room. All who enjoy bridge are invited to attend, regardless of skill level. Group will be facilitated by Dorothy Brown. For questions, contact Barbara Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org.

-- Battle of the Books, 4-5 p.m.

Battle of the Books will run for five Thursdays. Each week, group will read a couple of the best books of the year and brainstorm what makes a great book. At the end, we’ll vote for the best book of the year. Grades K-6.

-- LibrarYoga, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

PCPL is offering free Yoga sessions led by certified yoga instructors every Thursday evening. Classes are for all levels of students. Participants should wear comfy, stretchy clothes. Yoga mats, blocks and straps available for your use.

-- Introduction to Computers Part Three, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Part three of series will build on part two by walking you through the most important parts of your operating system, managing your installed applications and organizing your personal computer files. Topics covered: Files and folders, copy and paste, and adding and removing applications.
