Sharon Joan Jones

Sharon Joan Jones, 80, of Fillmore, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

She was born Aug. 10, 1936 in Greencastle, the daughter of Joe Dawson and Gladys Eileen (Wells) Dunivan and was a 1954 graduate of Stilesville High School.

Sharon was a homemaker and a member of the Fillmore Christian Church. She loved to paint, play the organ and sing, and most of all she loved children and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alan F. Jones; children Larry (Kathy) Jones, Garry (Cora) Jones and Kathy (Tony) Sparks; sisters Judy Hayes, Linda Maynard, Marilyn Hayden, Janet Bryson and Marsha Evans; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Larry Ronald and Joe David Dunivan.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 27 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
