Wanda L. Gerber Wilson

Wanda L. Gerber Wilson, 77, Frankfort, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Signature Healthcare in Lafayette.

She was born on June 22, 1939 in Rockville to Ira Richard and Cordia Lee (Mitchell) Cox.

She married Billy David Gerber on Oct. 28, 1960 in Manhattan, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1997. Wanda then married Danny Wilson on Oct. 20, 2002, and he survives.

Wanda was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping, eating and the company of friends. She also enjoyed sewing, decorating cakes, coloring and word searches.

She was a 1958 graduate of Reelsville High School where she was a cheerleader.

Survived by a son, David W. (Vicki Kinslow) Gerber, of rural Frankfort; a grandson, Stephen Gerber, of Frankfort; two sisters, Ardella Evans of Greencastle, and Gloria (Floyd) Pelfrey of Greencastle; and brother-in-law Joe (Glorietta) Crooks of Greencastle.

In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola, Rosa and Richalou, and a daughter-in-law, Christine Gerber.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Friends may visit from noon until time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
