Thursday, April 6, 2017
Several North Putnam High School and North Putnam Middle School students participated in the Polar Plunge on March 4 at Eagle Creek in Indianapolis. Pictured are (from left, front) Haley Dickson, Kyla Willis, Camryn Wolf, Ashley Weir and Zoey Dickson; (middle) Markus Timm, Darrin Tennis, Lillian Rambis, Lainey Willis, Kaelynn Abner, Alanna Nuņez, Bronwyn Spencer and Unified Track coach Brandy Dickson; (back) Mason Allen and Devin Clar (Greencastle H.S.). Not shown are Bella Zarate, Morgan Asher and Unified Track coach Monica Abner. The Frozen Friends of North Putnam raised a total of $1,938.00 for Special Olympics Indiana by wearing costumes and collecting pledges to jump in the cold creek on the chilly 45-degree day. This effort helps North Putnam High School meet its fundraising goal as a Champions Together school and banner winner through a partnership with Special Olympics Indiana and the IHSAA.
