Enjoy portal without monitors, video games or music in the background.

-- Community Help Desk, 2-4 p.m.

PCPL has a computer technician available to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. Most problems can be repaired in 20 minutes but if computer problem is severe enough or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, it is recommended you take it to a professional.

-- PCPL Book Group, 7-8 p.m.

Group will be reading “The All-Girls Filling Station’s Last Reunion” by Fannie Flagg for the April meeting. The library has copies of the book available for checkout and for sale at the reference desk. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@pcpl21.org.

Tuesday, April 11

-- Music Makers, 11 a.m-noon

Every month on the second Tuesday, listen to stories, sing, dance and explore with rhythm instruments. For ages 3 and up. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate.

-- Hour of Code, 4-5 p.m.

Explore the basics of coding in a fun and interactive way. Hour of Code is for all ages, but program is aimed at school-age children.

Wednesday, April 12

-- Mah Jongg game, 12:30-3 p.m.

For all players who know the game (not computer version). Newcomers welcome to watch and learn.

-- Cooking with Kids, 4-5 p.m.

Each month features a simple, kid-friendly snack, talking about cooking basics and reading stories while enjoying a treat. This month it’s banana pudding cookies. Space is limited, so register by April 8 by calling 653-2755 ext. 121, by emailing (kmullinnix@pcpl21.org), or by filling out the registration form at www.PCPL21.org.

-- Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.

Need crochet help or crochet companionship? Jo MacPhail will take her Yarn Perch (on the balcony above the lobby) every Wednesday evening to help those in need.

Songs, stories and nursery rhymes and a craft.

-- Preschool Storytime, 11-11:45 a.m.

Theme-based stories, action songs, a craft and a small snack.

-- Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

-- LibrarYoga, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

PCPL is offering free Yoga sessions led by certified yoga instructors every Thursday evening. Classes are for all levels of students. Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are available for use.

-- Climate Recovery in the Age of Despair, 7-8:30 p.m.

Learn how your town can get involved in Climate Recovery from Jim Poyser, executive director of Earth Charter Indiana and director of Youth Power Indiana.

-- Computer Class: Introduction to the Internet, 11 a.m-1 p.m.

Introduction to the Internet will start right at the beginning and introduce patrons to search engines, browsers and some of the best websites. All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public but registration is required since space is limited. To sign up, view PCPL21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the library.
