Area 30 Career Center culinary arts instructor Mary Anne Birt recently spoke to the Greencastle Kiwanis Club, showing pictures of the students as they learned the art of cooking and explaining the work that went into the group earning the state championship. To help fund the students’ trip to the national contest in Charleston, S.C., Kiwanis member Jim Maxwell presents Birt with a $200 check from the club.
