County Jail

Sixteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 4:03 p.m. Kimani Elijah Luke, 21, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 12:30 p.m. Joshua Michael Butler, 33, Cloverdale, was taken into custody on a second petition to revoke probation.

• At 5:15 a.m. Kyle Alan McCammon, 29, Indianapolis, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 5:11 a.m. Justin Levi Burnham, 30, Greencastle, was charged with unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of marijuana.

Saturday

• At 10:58 p.m. Ashley Kieana Gray, 22, Merrillville, was housed at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 8:45 p.m. Austin Ray Chadd, 23, Greencastle, was booked in on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 2:33 p.m. Andrea Nicole Tillberry, 25, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for unlawful possession of a syringe, false identity statement, possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear.

• At 1:26 p.m. Amanda Jean Harris, 32, Indianapolis, was taken into custody for trafficking with an inmate and dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance.

Friday

• At 10:28 p.m. Dustin Ray Persinger, 32, Cloverdale, was arrested on a local warrant.

• At 8:56 p.m. Joshua Lee Cunningham, 32, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for theft.

• At 8:42 p.m. Ryan Keith Basler, 32, Greencastle, was charged with criminal mischief and theft.

• At 7:23 p.m. Jessica Michelle Graves, 30, Terre Haute, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 7:23 p.m. Loren Thomas Jackson, 21, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail for failure to appear.

• At 4:10 p.m. Paige Jordan Simpkins, 23, Greencastle, was taken into custody for failure to appear.

• At 2:40 p.m. Courtland Terrell Harris, 21, Greencastle, was arrested for probation violation.

• At 10:21 p.m. Terry Dwayne Proctor, 50, Owensboro, Ky., was charged with failure to appear.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to six dispatches and one medical assist.

• At 6:57 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 413 S. Locust St. The alarm was determined to have been activated unnecessarily due to cooking, prompting GFD to reset the alarm before returning to station.

• At 2:14 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to reports of a smoke scare at 1015 S. College Ave. GFD determined the smoke was caused by food left on the stove, causing significant smoke but no fire. GFD subsequently reset the alarm before returning to station.

• At 7:47 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 106 S. Spring St. The alarm was determined to have been activated unnecessarily due to cooking. GFD reset the alarm before returning to station.

• At 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to unknown reasons at 110 E. Larrabee St. GFD reset the alarm before returning to station.

• At 11:28 a.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to reports of a structure fire at 1216 S. Bloomington St. GFD arrived to smoke showing, though homeowners were able to put out the majority of the small fire before crews arrived. GFD extinguished any remaining flames and remedied several hot spots before reseting the alarm and returning to station.

• At 12:39 p.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a vehicle fire at 1107 Indianapolis Rd. (the Marathon service station). GFD arrived on the scene to no fire and little smoke as service-station workers had already put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. GFD made sure the fire was completely extinguished before returning to station.
