In collaboration with the Putnam County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association, the Putnam County Museum has announced its second Tractor Day on Saturday, May 20 beginning at 9 a.m.

This year’s event will include a hay baling demonstration using a hay press. There will also be a thresher and a binder on display, along with all sorts of other tractors and machinery.

The farmers and restorationists will be on hand to share and educate both the young and old alike on Putnam County’s rich agricultural past and present. In most cases, touching is allowed.

The museum will be open so you can enjoy our oldest farm implements and artifacts that are under roof.

And, it’s Kids Club Day on Saturday. Starting at 11 a.m., enjoy activities, crafts, music and a snack can be enjoyed.

The events are free and open to the public, although donations help defray costs.

The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle. For more information, persons may call the museum at 653-8419.
