Elks Scholarships

Each year the Greencastle Elks Lodge 1077 designates members’ children and grandchildren to receive grants from the lodge. The eight young people receiving grants this year include (from left) Nathan Gobert, Nicholas Ganly, Megan Garner, Clayton Miller, Danielle Thomas, (not pictured) Duke Duff, Connor Ganly and Elizabeth Johnson. The scholarships are part of the Elks Care Elks Share commitment to the community and to the nation. Megan Garner received the Bob Berry Memorial Scholarship, also sponsored by the Greencastle Elks. In addition, Nathan Gobert has received a scholarship from the Elks National Foundation. All recipients were chosen based on their academic records, community involvement and a written essay.
