Two Greencastle residents were arrested on alcohol-related charges Wednesday night, Greencastle City Police reported.

Arrested at 9:51 p.m. in the parking area at the rear of the Goodwill Store off Indianapolis Road by Officer Alec Pettit were:

• Jennifer Ileen Pena, 29, who was charged with battery on a medical service provider, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Pena reportedly registered a blood-alcohol content level of .137 percent at book-in.

While charged with four counts during her arrest Wednesday night, Pena had been similarly arrested Saturday at 12:05 a.m. in Bainbridge.

In that case, worked by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, she was charged with pubic intoxication and disorderly conduct after her car was damaged in an accident. She blamed that mishap on a man she had met earlier at the bar who was driving the vehicle.

• Shaun Patrick Perkins, 37, Greencastle, who was booked in for public intoxication.

Perkins registered a blood-alcohol content level of .216 percent under portable breathalyzer testing.

Pena and Perkins were lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded to one recent property-damage accident.

• At 4:28 p.m. on Wednesday, Cassie S. Bell, 34, West Lafayette, was southbound on Manhattan Road in a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer.

Bell told Deputy Riley Houghton she knew her vehicle flipped over but did not know how.

Operation Life transported Bell from the scene for evaluation and treatment of her injuries.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
