Barbara Lee Darrell

Barbara Lee Darrell, 53, of Greencastle, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness.

Barbara was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Aug. 4, 1963, the daughter of Frank E. Sr. and Rosie (Tignor) Allen.

She attended North Davies High School in Odon, Ind.

Mrs. Darrell worked for several years at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, and then was head cook at Mill Pond Health Campus until leaving for health reasons.

She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank Allen, Greencastle, and James Allen, Greencastle; a sister, Kathy Glosser, Zanesville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Caden and Autumn Dodge; and several nieces, nephews and many caring friends.

At her request there will be no visitation or services.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, was entrusted with arrangements.
