As part of the Putnam County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, aimed at keeping kids active between school years, Lucas and Liam Frye take a literary walk down Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon to participate in a “Book Walk” -- a program which selects a children’s book, extracts each page and then posts the pages in order on signs, allowing passersby the opportunity to literally walk through a book with its characters. The program runs through the month of June and will be available to the public through July 8. This summer’s book selection is Peace is an Offering by author Annette LeBox.
