Annual Charlie Johnston Memorial Ride set June 10

The fourth-annual Charlie Johnston Memorial Ride, a motorcycle drive aimed this year at benefiting the Glen Scaggs Memorial Dinner (a.k.a. Putnam County Comprehensive Services Christmas Dinner) and the Fillmore Fire Department, has been slated to begin the morning of Saturday, June 10.

Taking off from and returning to the Fillmore Fire Department (located at 10 N. Main St., Fillmore), the ride will commence at 11 a.m. with sign-ins beginning at 9 a.m.

Costs to enter the ride are set at $25 per bike.

Fillmore FD will be providing breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. with free-will donations accepted. Food and drinks will also be provided at the end of the ride free to riders and for a cost of $5 each for non-riders.

Door prizes and a silent auction will also be part of the event, which has a rain date of Sunday, June 11.
