Bank Crash

Friday, June 9, 2017
Several onlookers check out the damage at PNC Bank in Greencastle Friday afternoon after an armored truck damaged the awning over the bank’s drive-through. Greencastle Police advised that the truck made a regular stop at the bank, accessing the lower level of the building from the Columbia Street parking lot. However, rather than back out, the driver pulled through the drive-through. While there was clearance for the truck to fit in the drive-through, as the front wheels started up the incline onto Vine Street, the top of the truck caught the edge of the overhang, breaking off a large portion of the fascia.
