Vivian Maxine 'Biany' Pickett

Vivian Maxine "Biany" Pickett, 97, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, reuniting with her husband of 76 years, James H. "Jack" Pickett, whom preceded her in death on June 8, 2017.

Born March 12, 1920 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Geddes and Crystal (Edwards) Priest.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Vivian had worked at DePauw University and the ASCS Farm Office as a secretary for several years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ; a 75-year member of the Eastern Star, Bainbridge/Greencastle, having served as worthy matron and a past state district deputy of Indiana; and served as a volunteer with the Putnam County Hospital Guild.

She is survived by her nieces, Patty Miller and Bobbie Jo White, and a nephew, Wally Steele.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Lois Steele; and an infant brother, Franklin Clay Priest.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 19 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Mausoleum in Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until time of service on Monday.
