Civic League excited to keep on rocking with ParkFest event

Friday, June 16, 2017

The summer nights have been fine for the first few ParkFest concerts of the 2017 season, and the Greencastle Civic League is excited to keep on jamming with Corey Leiter and Saturday Shoes on Tuesday, June 20 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Robe-Ann Park.

Those interested are encouraged to "come ready to dance and ready" to eat as Anthony's New York Style Pizzeria will be serving up pizza slices once again.

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Leiter is known for his laid-back demeanor and it is reflected in his performances.

Alt-country and indie rock band Saturday Shoes will also take the ParkFest stage. Band member Rick Barcus (guitar and vocals), Jeremy Hayes (drums), Dennis Furr (bass and vocals) and Glen Furr (guitar and vocals) cite influences such as Ryan Adams, Wilco, Bob Dylan and Iron and Wine.

On Tuesday, June 27 Dominick Rivers will perform at the next ParkFest stage.
