Davis ran a Memorial Day sale at his store in which a portion of the proceeds were donated to the VFW. “This check represents a very small token of our appreciation for all the vets that have served from all of us at Furniture AwareHouse,” Davis said. McBride, meanwhile, said the donation will be used solely within Putnam County to aid local veterans with their needs. In turn, the VFW presented Davis with a certificate for meritorious and distinguished service in furthering the aims and goals of the veterans organization.
