Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded to one recent property-damage crash.

• At 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, Jessica R. Blake, 28, Gosport, was southbound on County Road 150 West about 5,000 feet north of County Road 550 South in a 2006 GMC Envoy. Brett G. Scheuermann, 27, Brazil, was northbound in a 2014 Kenworth T800 registered to Sparks Commercial Tire.

Scheuermann told Deputy Jeffery Freeman he was approaching a narrow bridge and Blake stopped to allow him to pass.

However, as Scheuermann approached Blake’s SUV, she began backing up to try and get out of the way. In doing so, she backed into the northbound lane, at which time Scheuerman’s tire hit her vehicle.

Blake’s Envoy suffered minor damage but was driven from the scene.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
