Audrey A. Nelson

Audrey A. Nelson, 81, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Wellbrooke of Avon.

Born Jan. 20, 1936 in McKeen, Ill., she was the daughter of Logan and Edna Montgomery Griffith.

Audrey married Walter Nelson on June 19, 1954 in Marshall, Ill., and he preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and also worked at Marsh Supermarket for years, both in the deli and as a cashier.

Audrey was a member of the Lens View Camera Club and Whitestone Christian Church.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Marsha) Nelson of Florida, Sheryl (Bruce) Adamson of Danville, and Melinda (Jeff) Stokes of Lafayette; grandchildren Matthew and Sarah Nelson, Sylvia Summers, Neal and Noah Adamson and Chealse Walsh; 10 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters, preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be conducted at noon Saturday, July 1 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.

Calling will be from 10 a.m. until the service in the funeral home.
