Baylee Hamilton’s life has changed a lot in the past year, and the changes will be continuing for the recent Cloverdale High School graduate.

Hamilton moved from Avon to Cloverdale for her senior year and immediately stepped into the softball lineup for the Clovers both as a pitcher and a first baseman.

Hamilton helped the Clovers to a Putnam County championship, a 17-4 record and a seventh-place finish in the Western Indiana Conference.

The changes will continue this fall, as Hamilton will be playing softball at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Ill.

“I chose LTC because I wasn’t planning on going to college, so it was kind of a fast decision I decided to make,” she said. “I moved from Avon this year, so moving to the small town I made new friends and one of my my friends was actually going to go there so she told me a lot about the school and I texted the coaches.”

Hamilton is excited for the opportunity to continue her career.

“I am very excited to start there in August,” she said. “ I can’t wait to move in and see what the future has in store.”

Hamilton is the third member of this year’s Clover team to sign a college letter-of-intent, joining Skylar Price (Franklin) and Kelsey Helterbrand (DePauw).
