A. Dylan Hess

A.Dylan Hess, 17, of Coatesville, passed away on June 29, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Dylan was born Oct. 19, 1999, in Morris, Ill., the son of Danie M. (John D.) Allen and Aaron J. Hess.

After moving to Indiana in 2004, Dylan attended North Putnam Public Schools. In high school, Dylan was a three-sport student athlete for the North Putnam Cougars. Dylan was on the football and basketball teams and also ran track.

He was the world's best brother, a trusted teammate, and a friend to the entire North Putnam Community.

Dylan had the brightest smile that was sure to make those around him just as happy.

Dylan gave in death, as he gave in life, as an organ and tissue donor.

Dylan is survived by his parents John and Danie Allen of Coatesville; his father Aaron Hess of Marseilles, Ill., and his siblings Samantha Allen, Audri Hess, Riley Allen and Braden Allen.

He also leaves his grandparents, Larry and Edna Manning of Ottawa, Ill.; John and Phyllis Hess of Marseilles, Ill.; and James and Judy Allen of Rockbridge, Ill.

Dylan will also be forever remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and dear friends.

Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day.

Dylan will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson and friend.

A celebration of life will be held at the North Putnam High School at 8869 N. CR 250 East, Roachdale, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Dylan's family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. with the ceremony to start at 7 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the A. Dylan Hess #14Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund at North Putnam High School. Envelopes will be available at the school and can also be mailed to the A.
