Fireworks are kicking off Fourth of July festivities around the country this week, and with one of the “best shows in the state” starting this year’s extended Fourth of July weekend with a bang, many residents of West Central Indiana are off to a good start. On Saturday evening, July 1, the town of Bainbridge set its sights on gaining a personal-best after raising its total purchase from local business Mortonville Fireworks to $3,000 in June, an amount supplemented by several fundraisers and local campaigns aimed at expanding last year’s tone-setting display. Hundreds of visitors took to the streets, subdivisions, parks and schools Saturday to observe the ongoing efforts put forth by Bainbridge officials. More photos of the Bainbridge fireworks can be seen at www.bannergraphic.com/gallery/bainbridgefireworks.

  • WOW!! What a magnificent show. There was never a break in the display. It was continuous for almost an hour. You never need to wait for something else there. The display set up was beautiful. Burst of color one right after the other. The entire show was like most grand finale's you see other places. If you didn't go this year you missed it. We will be there next year if at all possible. Great Job Bainbridge. Thanks.
