Monday, July 10:

• Imagination Portal Unplugged, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Looking for a little quiet time? Enjoy the Imagination Portal without monitors, video games or music in the background.

• STEAM Monday, 2-3 p.m.: Tinker, make, and create at the library on Mondays. Explore arts and crafts, simple circuits, chemistry and more. Each week will feature a different project. A summer reading event for children ages 8-12.

• Community Help Desk, 2-4 p.m.: A computer technician is available to diagnose and repair your electronics. Most problems repaired in 20 minutes or recommended to a professional.

• Perler Bead Craft, 3-4 p.m.: Express your crafty side using tiny beads and an iron to melt beads and create your very own work of art. Make coasters or a headphone holder. For ages 12-18. Space is limited, so register by July 7 by contacting Krista Mullinix at 765-653-2755 ext. 121 or kmullinnix@pcpl21.org, or by filling out the form on PCPL21.org.

• Plarning, 4-6 p.m.: Build a Better World through plarning. Plarning is the process of crocheting recycled plastic bags into mats for the homeless. PCPL is partnering with the Creative Change Project for this program.

• PCPL Book Group, 7-8 p.m.: The PCPL Book Group will be reading “The Summer Before the War” by Helen Simonson for the July meeting. The library has copies of the book available for checkout and for sale at the reference desk. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@pcpl21.org.

Tuesday, July 11:

• Baby & Me, 10-10:30 a.m.: Sing songs, read stories, play with toys, talk and laugh with your baby. For newborns to 2 years.

• Music Makers, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Join us on the second Tuesday of every month as we sing, dance and play with percussion instruments and our parachute. Babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children welcome.

• “Introduction to Computers, Part 1” at Heritage Lake, 1-3 p.m.: All classes for beginners, free and open to the public. Classes are two hours long with a break. • Community Help Desk, 4-7 p.m.

• Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.: Need crochet help or companionship? Jo MacPhail will take her Yarn Perch on the balcony above the lobby every Thursday evening.

• Based on the Book: Movie Night, 5:30-8 p.m.: The Based on the Book: Movie Night will be discussing “The Shack” by William P. Young. Following the 2017 movie (running time: 2 hours) the group will be discussing Young’s novel. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library and for purchase at the reference desk. • Play Mah Jongg, 6-8 p.m.: For those who know the game. Newcomers contact Janice at DarksidersMaxine@msn.com to arrange for instruction.

Wednesday, July 12:

• Mah Jongg Game, 12:30-3 p.m.: For all players who know the game (not the computer version). Newcomers welcome to watch and learn.

• Cooking with Kids, 4-6:30 p.m.: Prepare a simple snack, talk about cooking basics and read some stories while a treat is enjoyed. This month the group be making Apricot Hand Pies. Space is limited, so register by July by contacting Krista Mullinix at 765-653-2755 ext. 121 or kmullinnix@pcpl21.org, or by filling out the form on PCPL21.org.

• Ancient Practices for Modern Healing, 5-6:30 p.m.: “Vibrational medicine,” see a presentation and experience the use of sound such as chanting, singing, laughter and mantras for healing.

• Time Travelin’ Genealogy Guild, 6-7 p.m.: Join a group of local family history gurus to learn tips and tricks, share stories and discover new resources.

• Learn to Crochet, 6-7:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 13:

• Community Help Desk, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Toddler Time, 10-10:30 a.m.: Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs and make a craft. 1-3 years.

• Preschool Storytime, 11-11:45 a.m.: Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft and have a small snack. Ages 3-5 year olds.

• Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Come to an open bridge game on Thursday afternoons in the Kiwanis room. All skill levels are invited to attend. Facilitated by Dorothy Brown. For questions, contact Barbara Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org.

• LibrarYoga, 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Free yoga sessions for all skill levels led by certified yoga instructors every Thursday evening. Participants should wear comfy, stretchy clothes. Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are available for your use.
