Gerald Ray Whitt

Gerald Ray Whitt, 66, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.

He was born on Oct. 17, 1950 in Richlands, Va.

He was the son of the late James Alderson Whitt "Fuzz" and Mary Sue Whitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jerry Ray Whitt, brother Raleigh Whitt and sister Molly Scott.

He is survived by his brother, Garland Whitt; sisters Carol Jones, Janice Nelson and Judy Morphew; son Jim Whitt; daughter Misty Whitt; granddaughters Elizabeth Whitt, Kristina Crumpacker, Faith Knight and Sierra Knight who he was very proud of.

He worked as a roofer, was a correctional officer at the Indiana Department of Correction and security for Walmart Distribution Center.

He was loved dearly and will be missed by all. Thank you for everything Dad, Grandpa, we love you forever! You were the most amazing and giving person, the hardest worker, you truly led by example.

Services will be conducted at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Dates and times to be announced.
