Tri-County Bank & Trust Co. has announced the retirement of JOE HESS from the board of directors after 42 years.

Previously, Hess was the owner of Hess Construction, the company that built the Tri-County branches in Bainbridge and Russellville.

Hess has been a lifelong resident of Bainbridge and resides there with his wife Barbara.

“We would like to thank Joe for his service on the board and wish him well in his retirement,” bank officials said in a statement.

Mike Grant

To replace Hess, Tri-County has announced MIKE GRANT as a new addition to the board of directors.

Grant and his wife Terri have been residents of Crawfordsville since 1991 and have been the owners of Arni’s restaurant in Crawfordsville since 1993.

Prior to becoming a restaurant owner, Grant served in many capacities in the financial services industry but always preferred the community banks where he was able to build close working relationships with local customers.

He is active in Montgomery County non-profit organizations, including MUFFY, Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County and the Youth Service Bureau. Grant has also served two years as president on the Community Foundation board and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of each board for six years.

Grant is excited and happy to rejoin Tri-County Bank & Trust Co.

A pair of Putnam County students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at Manchester University.

ADRI MILLICAN of Bainbridge is an exercise science and fitness major, while KAITLIN MINDIOLA of Coatesville is a psychology major.

Both Millican and Mindiola are graduates of North Putnam High School.

The students achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of classes this spring.
