• At 9:49 p.m. on Monday, Jessica M. Randolph, 32, Brazil, was westbound on West Walnut Street near County Road 400 West in a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander.

Randolph told Deputy Anthony Brown she was approached by an eastbound vehicle with its high beams on. She said this left her unable to see the coming curve causing her vehicle to leave the road and hit a utility pole.

Complaining of pain, Randolph was transported to the hospital by Operation Life.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

• At 4:40 a.m. on Monday, William R. Parker, 56, Cloverdale, was eastbound on County Road 925 South in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.

Parker told Capt. Tom Helmer that he stopped at the railroad tracks and then proceeded slowly due to rough pavement.

A small, gray passenger car had been following Parker’s truck and at this point passed him. While returning to the eastbound lane, car hit Parker’s left front bumper with its right side.

Parker said the other driver failed to stop and continued eastbound, even running the automatic signal at 925 South and U.S. 231. He added that the car also ran the light at 231 and County Road 900 South, eventually turning onto the entrance ramp for eastbound Interstate 70.

Parker followed the car to this point and then returned home and called the police. He told Helmer it was a gray passenger car that should have damage to the passenger door and right rear quarter panel. He also provided a partial plate number.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

• At 5:19 p.m. on Thursday, Kasey M. Thomas, 19, Rockville, was westbound on U.S. 40 in a 2015 Ford Fusion. Corliss B. Ames, 59, Fillmore, was also westbound in a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse.

Thomas told Deputy Brown that Ames’ vehicle moved into her lane and she could not avoid impact.

Ames was unable to make a statement at the scene and was transported from the scene by ambulance.

Both vehicles came to rest in the eastbound lanes. Brown said preliminary investigation revealed showed that Thomas’ vehicle made heavy impact to the rear of Ames’ vehicle. The speed of both vehicles was unknown.

Both vehicles were towed. Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.
