The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced the creation of the A. Dylan Hess #14 Strong Memorial Scholarship Endowment.

Dylan Hess was a talented three-sport athlete (football, basketball and track) at North Putnam High School who passed away on June 29, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. The endowment was established by Dylan’s parents, John and Danie Allen, with gifts from many members of the community.

The endowment will benefit the North Putnam Dollars for Scholars chapter to grant scholarships to graduating North Putnam seniors.

Dylan Hess

Dylan has been called the world’s best brother, a trusted teammate and a friend to the entire North Putnam Community. This endowment is a memorial for this young man who gave in death, as he gave in life, as an organ and tissue donor.

Anyone may contribute to the A. Dylan Hess #14 Strong Scholarship Endowment. Contributions to the endowment may be made payable to the Putnam County Community Foundation with “Dylan Hess Scholarship” in the memo, and mailed to 2 S. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135 or online at www.pcfoundation.org.

Community Foundation staff members are available to help donors make gifts of cash, stock, retirement assets, life insurance, bequests, real estate and other types of gifts.

The Putnam County Foundation is a nonprofit public charity established in 1985 to serve donors, award grants and provide leadership, enriching the quality of life and strengthening community in Putnam County forever. To obtain information about establishing a permanent charitable endowment, contact Executive Director Elaine Peck 653-4978 or epeck@pcfoundation.org.
