County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday.

• At 12:52 p.m. Desiree Dawn Bradley, 19, Gosport, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:21 p.m. Ricky Dale Golden Jr., 34, Greencastle, was taken into custody for probation violation.

• At 9:35 a.m. Dean Weston Knight, 26, Cloverdale, was booked in for failure to appear.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to four dispatches and two medical assists.

• At 10:27 a.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to hair care products at 208 E. Olive St. GFD reset the alarm before returning to station at 10:41 a.m.

• At 12:11 a.m. on Monday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 905 S. College Ave. The alarm was determined to have been activated unnecessarily due to unknown reasons. GFD reset the alarm before returning to station at 12:24 a.m.

• At 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 407 S. Jackson St. but was disregarded en route. GFD subsequently returned to station at 6:18 a.m.

• At 8:43 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD performed an odor investigation after receiving reports of a gas-like smell at 100 E. Seminary St. However, DePauw maintenance crews were already working the scene upon arrival. GFD then returned to station at 9:02 a.m.
