Updated tax statements mailed to Van Bibber property owners

Kathy Minnick, Putnam County treasurer, announced that updated property tax statements have been mailed to Van Bibber Lake Estates property owners.

Those who do not receive their statement by Friday, Sept. 22 can inquire about its status by contacting the Putnam County Treasurer’s Office via phone 653-4510 or e-mail treasurer@putnamcountyin.us.

Failure to receive a statement will not relieve you of paying taxes and/or penalties that may be due. The second installment of taxes is due Monday, Nov. 13.

Taxes may be paid at any of the following banks located in Putnam County: First Financial, First National, Old National, North Salem State or Tri-County. persons must bring their tax statement if you want to pay at the bank. The banks will not take a payment after the due date.

Taxes may also be paid online at http://www.co.putnam.in.us/Treasurer/or over the phone, or at the Putnam County Treasurer’s Office.

They can also be paid by mail to P.O. Box 508, Greencastle, IN 46135. To ensure a penalty is not added, the envelope must be postmarked on or before the due date.

The Putnam County Treasurer’s Office will accept cash, check, money order, credit cards or debit cards.
