2017 Cougar Challenge investing in North Putnam students

Monday, August 28, 2017

The North Putnam Alumni Association has partnered with the Putnam County Community Foundation to create a service endowment for NP students.

This September the alumni association will be finishing a two-year fundraising challenge to raise $12,000. It will be concluding the fundraising push at this year’s annual banquet.

The North Putnam Alumni Association Banquet is scheduled for Sept. 23. The association will use the occasion to announce the two recipients of the Service Award which will be given in memory of Ron Price.

Mr. Price’s passion motivated students to succeed at North Putnam and after graduation as well. The alumni association is thankful for his commitment to North Putnam schools and the community.

Applications will be accepted from student groups in August to compete for the two awards. As a result of Mr. Price’s support and thoughtfulness, the alumni association is able to support North Putnam students for decades to come.

Individuals or entities making donations of $1,000 (Gold), $500 (Silver), or $250 (Bronze) to the Donor Advised Endowment through the end of September will be recognized as Founding Club members.

Individuals, families, organizations, businesses, clubs or teams can make donations. Founding members will be included on a plaque that will be displayed in North Putnam High School.

Contributions can be made directly to the Alumni Association via mail at Box 193, Bainbridge, IN 46105.

Also, contributions can be made through the Putnam County Community Foundation at http://www.pcfoundation.org/. Once on the homepage, click “Donate Now.” After entering the amount and selecting a pay option, be sure to type “North Putnam Alumni” in the description box that reads “I would like to donate to the fund below.”
