Crashing the Party

The party took to the streets around the courthouse square Saturday night for the eighth annual Greencastle Music Festival as Louisville Crasher lead singer Mark Maxwell (above) crashes the crowd to sing his opening number, followed later in the evening by Greencastle native Don Von Tress (below) performing “Achy Breaky Heart,” a song he wrote 25 years ago.

The music motivates Joni Burch and her daughter Jolie 3, of Morton, to dance the night away.

The crowd, estimated at 3,000 was introduced to Baby Crasher, aka Crasher Brendon Michael Buttery, born last Oct. 18 to Kaili Smith and Brent Buttery of Greencastle, after Maxwell offered her $1,000 to name her baby “Crasher” last year.
