“The Clovers are still trying to find the right combination and rotation of players,” coach Traci Scott said.

The Clover JV lost to Bloomfield and moves to 5-2 for the season.

Soccer

• Sullivan 3, North Putnam 2 (boys) — The Golden Arrows led 1-0 at halftime on Monday, and each team scored two goals in the second half.

The Cougars got goals by Alex Krominaker and Dane Spencer and an assist from Dane Spencer.

“It was a very evenly-played matched game from the first whistle to the final whistle,” NP coach Curt Krominaker said. “The game went back and forth with both teams pushing hard to score. They played a very high line that had the boys eager to go to goal and we had our opportunities.”

Coach Krominaker thought the match offered his players a good learning experience.

“There were several close calls that just did not go our way when we had huge breakaways that could have swung the score line completely,” he said. “That is something they will learn, is to give the extra foot of distance to keep from getting called offsides. The boys left everything on the field and I could not ask for more.”

Krominaker thought the match was the team’s best performance of the season.

“Alex Krominaker and Dane Spencer were outstanding up top, leading to the most shot attempts we have had all season,” he said.
