Brenda G. Clark Gottula

Brenda G. Clark Gottula, 67, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017.

She was born April 8, 1950 in Owensboro, Ky., to Joseph and Lucille Simmons Clark.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Norv Gottula, who she married on Jan. 22, 1972.

She is also survived by her daughter, Heather Gottula; sisters Carol Ebelhar (Ron) and Judith Nevergoll (Paul); sister-in-law Lana Proffitt (Susan); brother-in-law Mark Gottula (April); two nieces; six nephews and a faithful Cairn Terrier dog Rufus who will greatly miss her.

Brenda was a 1972 graduate of Western Kentucky University.

She was a manager at First National Bank, Cloverdale, and retired in 2015 after 30 years.

Brenda never met a stranger and will be very missed by all who knew her. She was formerly active in Putnam County Homemakers and a past president.

In retirement, Brenda loved traveling with family and spending time with her extended family at Bull Creek Key on the Ohio River.

Funeral services for Brenda will be Saturday Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 1 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 2 from noon to 1 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
